This is a Literary theory coined by Kristeva, propounded by various exponents of The theory of Sign and Signification or in other words the Science of Language or Sassure's Theory of Language.
The more important element is the connect of time and space;both in capitals, but here symbolically drawn short for ease of clarity.
The fact, that following 24hrs;two things happened:
Some sighting of Kites happened; in upper case here because Intertexts need referential time frames.
A signal was recorded in some two Observatories;pictures present a flare of colours and boom of silver lining.
The moon man spoke of a yonder world.
And finally, from my perch I see
the flights ducking in
color;note the loss of the vowel
as they buzz past
strikingly similar to the
neon blueredpurple and streaming white light.
I though imagine a new world
in tar-less world
of flying kites
and some connect
with the other
Galaxy.
But in text there is the possibility of Imagine.
In short,GOW holds one example, in my reading, a peak of his Creative genius in this Gem of an Intertext.
A band plays at a funeral and the song played by them, in its time and right, was about the pining of a beloved or a romantic interlude in a known film.
Two points need to be highlighted here:
a)Rarity in Indian cinema to show the celebrative aspect of death ceremonies which are normally very sombre, the use of a brass band and lyrics to reverse the relationship of metaphor by linking the pining of a lover as a expression of love for the departed.
b)The potrayal over a scale of time which covers a fair bit of space.
In short this work will present such instances of
reading and writing
which will give Abdul fire to tell his story.
The boat and the flight
in between stories of Durbars and
star spangled lovers
amid the harem
this little Intertext.
